Peche Depoisson is a rising star among travelling performers, inspiring awe and wonder to people worldwide with one goal in mind: to bring a smile to everyone's face! Not only a talented musician, they are also a skilled acrobatic and showman, captivating audiences with daring feats such as firebreathing, knife juggling, and the art of trapeze.
When not bewitching the masses with their fabulous performances, Peche's proclivities lean more wicked, and there are few lines they won't cross to keep themself entertained. They delight in participating in The Hunt for the simple thrill of danger and carnage, and as such have fashioned themself into a jack of all trades when it comes to their abilities as a combatant. They favor the bow most of all, and woe betide any opponent who find themselves the target of Peche Depoisson's arrows, for they rarely miss their mark.
Beyond that, there's little known of Peche even among their cohort, and Peche doesn't seem too keen on the topic of their past, as any questions about it only result in evasiveness, deflection and lies. Indeed, 'Depoisson' is just a cheeky stage name with no ties to any known family, and Peche is perfectly happy to take advantage of the anonymity their alias provides. ♥

HOOKS
The Jongleur
• Peche can be found performing in taverns, out on the city streets, or putting on extravagant roadside productions for fellow travelers. Have you been to a show or two? Perhaps you've only caught a glimpse of them before rushing off to complete your errands. Either way, you're in the presence of a star! How do you react? The Hunter
• To satisfy their bloodlust and predilection for thrill-seeking, Peche enjoys participating in The Hunt for elite marks commissioned by the Eorzean Alliance. More danger means more excitement. Are you a rival hunter, competing for the same bounties? How might you feel about their thirst for blood in contrast with their bright and cheerful personality? The Fool
• Peche sure looks like a weirdo. They're a viera/au ra dressed up like a fancy clown, going by an elezen name! Are you the kind of person to try and provoke them for looking different, or are you interested in getting to know more about them? The Capricious
• Are you in trouble? Do you need assistance dealing with some thugs or a dangerous individual? Let's see if Peche feels like helping you or making it worse!...The Aristocrat?
• Are you a member of Ishgardian nobility? Or are you well acquainted with Coerthan trade, perhaps? Peche might look familiar to you, and it's not just because they're a performer, but you can't quite put your finger on it...
→ ( Wait, you seem to recall the disappearance of a beautiful fair-haired heir to an esteemed textiles trading company in the Coerthan Highlands a few years ago. While they've since been widely considered to be dead; either a casualty of the calamity or another victim of Ishgardian violence against au ra, House Marchand holds out hope for the safe return of their beloved son. But this fruity little clown couldn't possibly be him...could they? )
→ Would Peche recognize you from their youth? Let's talk about it OOC and see where it goes!
OOC
Hi there! I'm a seasoned RPer and can match any style of RP, but that said, I'm still quite new to ffxiv RP, so thank you for your patience! I'm in my 30's and prefer to RP with other adults who are at least 21+. Under no circumstances am I interested in RPing with anyone under 18.
Ask me about my mare code!
In order to be more flexible with whether my character is perceived as a viera or an au ra, I consider fantasias canon, and my character will, on rare occasion, make use of them. IC, I treat them as highly expensive, hard-to-obtain items, so hopefully that's not too much of a deal-breaker for you!
I'm open to any kind of scene between our characters! I love all themes, be it lighthearted, dramatic, or dark/mature. I really enjoy engaging with all kinds of different characters, so please don't be afraid to approach me! Peche can be pretty cruel at times, and I promise it's nothing personal, but if you're uncomfortable, just let me know OOC and I can dial it back. :)
I like roleplaying romance, but I'd prefer it have slow burn or build-up. I'm also only interested if you agree to keep it non-exclusive.
I'm very serious about maintaining the boundary between IC and OOC, and expect you to be as well. I love to make new friends, but I am not interested in "dating" the people I RP with. Please do not approach me if you cannot discern fiction from reality.
JONGLEUR'S GAMBIT
Jongleur's Gambit is a simple card game Peche devised to earn some gil, learn some gossip, and most of all... have some fun!A typical game of Jongleur's Gambit lasts 1-3 rounds. The goal is to collect cards and avoid drawing the joker. Should the player draw the joker, they lose the round, along with any cards/gil they might have gained. The player can choose to cut their losses or walk away with their earnings at any point, or elevate the stakes and challenge Peche to another round—at their own risk. The Rules:
The dealer (Peche) draws 3 cards. They will roll a 1d21, and their results will fall into 1 of 3 ranges:
(1 - 7) | (8 - 14) | (15 - 21) |
Whatever the dealer rolls is the 'joker.' The player then rolls a 1d21 as well. If they roll within the same range as the dealer, they draw the joker and lose. If they roll outside the dealer's range, they win!The Rewards:
(Prizes are negotiable.)
• If the player wins 1 card: 5,000 gil.
• If the player wins 2 cards: 10,000 gil.
• If the player wins all 3 cards: 15,000 gil.The Risks:
• Round 1 loss: The player owes Peche 5,000 gil.
• Round 2 loss: The player must tell Peche a secret, some juicy gossip, or gift them a personal belonging.
• Round 3 loss: Run, because Peche is going to hunt you for sport. Now!*All gil is IC.
